National Mental Health Month

May has been designated National Mental Health Month since 1949. Its purpose is to expand awareness of mental health issues so that we all can better cope with whatever mental health issues may come our way.  The focus for this year is on the mental  health of young people. Here are a couple of websites that elaborate on the month’s focus and events:

Mental Health America

American Psychological Association

Maybe there are some local events in your area as well!

  1. I really enjoyed reading your blog. I am working on a documentary on mental health care surrounding an abandoned psychiatric tower in Rochester, New York

You can watch the trailer at http://www.EchoOfThePast.com

Let me know if you like it and would like to exchange links.

    Thanks,

    Dylan
